

Wind conditions in Spot Kitesurf Balneario
Beach of fine and soft sand, without stones, with a sandy seabed.
It is the first beach right next to Isla de las Palomas, which separates the Atlantic Ocean from the Mediterranean Sea. It is located in the center of Tarifa, about 200 meters from the port.
There is parking, several bars and showers.
You can practice kitesurfing from September 15 to June 15. During the summer it is an exclusive beach for bathers.
With a west wind: Approximately 40% of the days. Side-on-shore. Normally choppy and small waves of 1 meter. Constant wind.
With a easterly wind: Approximately 50% of the days. Side-off-shore. Normally completely flat sea with all wind intensities and no swell.
With medium swell waves between 1 and 2 meters, with strong swell (very few days per year, generally in winter) waves of 3 and 4 meters. Constant wind.
With South Wind: Approximately 5% of the days. On-shore. Sea with a lot of choppy, and rough waves. Medium-difficult condition due to the direction of the wind and the direction of the waves that make it difficult to go upwind to get away from the shore. Constant wind.
With north wind: Approximately 5% of the days. Side-shore. Sea with little choppy. With a medium and strong swell perfect for surfkiting, the waves usually have a good distance between them. Constant wind.
Recommended level: Advanced and Expert.
The best conditions are:
For freestyle: lift with flat seas.
For surfkite west with medium and strong swell and north wind with medium and strong swell.
