The Lances Beach

Playa de los Lances has fine white sand, a natural spot that stands out for its extension and beauty, as well as for attracting kite and wind surfers from all over the world. everyone.

The beach goes from the town of Tarifa to the Arte y Vida beach bar, around 7 kilometers.

This natural setting is one of the largest spots in Tarifa for practicing Kitesurfing.

The beach has a space for bathers, one for independent kitesurfers and an exclusive area for the official schools of Tarifa.

The Jara and La Vega rivers, together with the Salado stream, create an exceptional natural area with great ecological value.

WITH A WEST WIND: Approximately 40% of the days. Side-on-shore. In the slightly choppy sea and small waves of 1 meter, with an average bottom swell with waves of approximately 2 meters, with storms there can be some days with 4 meter waves. Constant wind.

WITH EAST WIND: Approximately 50% of the days. Side-off-shore. Normally, the sea is completely flat with all wind intensities.

WITH A SOUTH WIND: Approximately 5% of the days. On-shore. Medium-difficult condition due to the direction of the wind and the direction of the waves that make it difficult to go upwind to get away from the shore. Constant wind.

WITH A NORTH WIND: Approximately 5% of the days. Side-shore. With medium and strong swell perfect for surfkite.

PLAYA DE LOS LANCES SOUTH: From the town to the Jara River. From September 15 to June 15 you can practice Kitesurfing on this beach. From June 15 to September 15 it is exclusively for bathers.

LOS LANCES NORTH BEACH: From the Jara River to Arte Vida (Los Lances Norte). The courses are generally taught between the Chiringuito Agua area and Waves (4 km from the town of Tarifa, towards Cadiz).
