Valdevaqueros Beach

The Valdevaqueros Beach is located in the municipality of Tarifa, in the Campo de Gibraltar region, province of Cádiz, in the autonomous community of Andalusia.

One of the important elements of this beach is its length. With 4050 meters between the point of Valdevaqueros and the point of La Peña, and a width of about 120 meters along this entire length, the Valdevaqueros beach has the appropriate length for a large number of riders without having to both when practicing any of the water sports they choose. In addition, since it is away from large population centers and has a sparsely developed area, the beach is the perfect setting for enjoying a natural environment without the hassle of cars and crowds.

In the western part, we find the mouth of the river del Valle, which forms an estuary from the mouth itself until it finally meets the sea a few hundred meters to the east.

Another significant element of the beach is its dunes. The Valdevaqueros dune is an emblem for the inhabitants of the area who, since 1940, have had this geographical accident created by the will of the human being when the military authorities decided to create it to use it as a means of protection. In order to ensure that the different movements of sand did not bury the military installations, they accumulated the earth at one point until it gave rise to the dune that we find today. The dune is still in formation and is not in danger of being invaded by any plant species.

Thanks to all these conditions, Valdevaqueros beach is a great windsurfing and kitesurfing destination and also has an infinity of beach bars and schools that will allow us to enjoy a vacation like no other.
